GB government provisionally lifts ban on tourism

Gilgit (TP) August 7, 2020: Good news for tourists, the Gilgit-Baltistan government has lifted a ban on tourism.
The permission was given after the federal government earlier announced to ease restrictions imposed across the country to contain the spread of the Covid-19 cases.
The Gilgit-Baltistan government has allowed tourists from other parts of the country to enter the snow-capped and kaleidoscopic mountainous region. Tourists will now visit the majestic part of the country from August 8.
However, persons coming region from the down country will have to bring Covid-19 test reports from credible laboratories before they were allowed to enter the premises of Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to a statement issued by the Gilgit-Baltistan Information Department, hotel owners and all sectors related to tourism must strictly follow the Covid-19 SOPs issued by the health department.
The GB government will take strict action in case of any violation by the tourists or other tourism-related sectors.
GB offers majestic high mountains, pastures, meadows, gushing water, tracking sites and best recreational points with breath-taking views of naturals spots.
